Overview
This sample route reaches the Butang archipelago in the southern Andaman Sea. It involves longer offshore passages and requires suitable weather and marine park access. The daily stops are adjusted to those conditions.
Day 1
Phuket → Koh Ha
Approx. 40 NM
Depart the confirmed marina in Phuket and sail south towards Koh Ha. A swim or snorkeling stop may be possible on arrival. Overnight at a permitted anchorage.
Day 2
Koh Ha → Koh Rok
Approx. 16 NM
Continue towards Koh Rok after breakfast. Reef and beach stops depend on park access and conditions. Spend the night at a permitted stopping point near the islands.
Day 3
Koh Rok → Koh Tarutao
Approx. 37 NM
Sail towards Koh Tarutao. Possible activities include a beach visit or a guided mangrove excursion, depending on the selected anchorage and local arrangements.
Day 4
Koh Tarutao → Butang Islands
Approx. 25 NM
Depart towards the Butang Islands. Plan the next two nights around permitted anchorages and the group’s preferred reef or shore visits.
Day 5
Exploring the Butang Islands
Approx. 10 NM
Spend the day exploring permitted stops in the Butang archipelago. Snorkeling, beach visits and any guided walks depend on conditions and local arrangements.
Day 6
Butang Islands → Koh Rok
Approx. 43 NM
Return towards Koh Rok, with swimming or permitted fishing stops as conditions allow.
Day 7
Koh Rok → Koh Ha → Koh Phi Phi Leh
Approx. 32 NM
Sail via Koh Ha towards Phi Phi Leh, with reef or bay visits where access permits. Overnight at a permitted anchorage near Phi Phi.
Day 8
Koh Phi Phi → Koh Maithon → Phuket
Approx. 35 NM
Visit Phi Phi Don if time allows, then sail via Maithon to Phuket. Return to the confirmed marina at the agreed time.
