Overview

This itinerary focuses on the dramatic limestone scenery of Phang Nga Bay. You’ll kayak through sea caves into hidden lagoons, visit the iconic James Bond Island, and discover the floating village of Koh Panyi before ending in the peaceful surroundings of Koh Yao Noi.

We depart around 10:00 from Phuket and head for Koh Kai.

Short sail to Koh Kai (≈12 NM) for swimming, snorkeling and lunch
Afternoon sail of about 17 NM into the heart of Phang Nga Bay

At Koh Panak:

Explore several sea caves and hongs – some require flashlights to see stalactites and stalagmites
Enjoy dinner and a calm night at anchor surrounded by limestone cliffs

Koh Panak → Koh Hong → James Bond Island → Koh Panyi → Koh Yao Noi

After breakfast we continue deeper into Phang Nga Bay.

Short hop to Koh Hong to explore the inner lagoon by kayak
Move on to James Bond Island, famous from “The Man with the Golden Gun”
Soak in the surreal, vertical limestone landscape

For lunch we head to Koh Panyi (≈6 NM):

Visit the stilted Muslim village built over the water
Optional walk through the village and a look at the floating football field

Late afternoon sail to Koh Yao Noi for a quiet night anchorage with jungle sounds in the background.

Koh Yao Noi → Koh Bak Pia → Koh Hong (Krabi) → Phuket

Wake up to a peaceful morning at Koh Yao Noi.

After breakfast, sail to Koh Bak Pia for swimming and panoramic views
Continue to Koh Hong (Krabi) – clearer water and two stunning beaches

Here you can:

Explore the hong by kayak
Enjoy lunch on the beach or on board in the shade

In the afternoon we set sail back to Chalong Bay, Phuket, arriving by late afternoon.
